The Hummingbird Scientific X-Ray High-pressure Gas Heating sample holder encloses samples inside a sealed microfabricated gas cell for in-situ X-ray and synchrotron workflows under controlled gas pressure and temperature. Built from Hummingbird’s high-pressure gas-cell platform, it integrates pressure-rated chip sealing, external gas delivery, and closed-loop MEMS heating for experiments that require elevated-pressure gas environments.
Use the platform to study catalyst restructuring, corrosion, thin-film growth or dissolution, nanoparticle dynamics, and high-temperature gas–solid chemistry while collecting X-ray imaging, spectroscopy, or scattering data where the instrument configuration supports those measurements.
By combining controlled gas exposure, heating, and X-ray characterization, researchers can follow structural and chemical changes under more relevant gas-phase reaction conditions than post-mortem analysis alone can provide.
